Midday at the Oasis is our two-hour mini-retreat that "magically transports" you to the Middle East when you don a jingly hip scarf, learn the basic steps of belly dance, and the iconic rhythm of the Middle East.
Delight in a Moroccan-inspired tea ceremony, learn fun phrases in Turkish and Arabic, and finish with a sparkling beverage and Mid East light fare as we regale you with a belly dance performance.

Here's What We'll Be Doing

Tea & Jingly Hip Scarfs
We open with a Moroccan-inspired tea ceremony as we tie on our complimentary hip scarfs and learn fun belly dance words in Arabic and Turkish.

Beat, Beledi & Basic Steps
Then we learn to belly dance! We start very simply so that even if you might think that you "have no rhythm," your body will be dancing before you know it. We learn the quintessential belly dance rhythm that Bob plays on the doumbek, and I teach you the basic steps of belly dance. We progress at a pace tailored for you as we build our dance with shimmies and undulating moves.

Bubbles & Bellies
Finally, we celebrate your new skills with a sparkling beverage (prosecco and/or our homemade soda) and Middle Eastern style refreshments as we give you a classic belly dance performance.

Should You Need to Cancel
Giving you an amazing Experience is most important to us, and we begin prepations for you well in advance of your arrival. That being said, we understand that life happens, and regrettably, sometimes a cancellation is necessary.
Should you need to cancel up to 24 hours before your scheduled Experience, we refund your deposit, less a $50 administrative fee. Should you need to cancel within 24 hours of your scheduled Experience, we keep your deposit to cover administrative and Experience costs. Contact us if you must cancel but want to transfer your Experience to trusted friends or family.
